War Toy Boy explores how propaganda seeps into daily life — not hidden but absorbed, repeated by media, corporations, and the machinery of war until we stop questioning. Inspired in part by the surreal sets of Toys (1992), Paul Darragh (BEMODERN) builds a world of stark paintings and sculptures where pills, bowler hats, and toy soldiers become metaphors for the systems of power.

Graphic and seductive at first glance, yet uneasy and sinister upon closer inspection, the works transform the gallery into a theatre of control — reminding us that everything is not fine.
