Paul Darragh explores compositions in geometric abstraction within these paintings. The works represent an interweaving of our digital and physical lives using forms that allude to an energy that is simultaneously mechanical, sexual and organic. The title of the show, IRL, is an internet born acronym for In Real Life. Darragh says “This responds to the duality of our digital and physical lives and is also a comment on viewing the art “in real life” versus through social media.”
